Worship

When churches talk about worship, they’re usually talking about the style of music. Hymns? Rock? Traditional? Contemporary? Music, singing, and corporate worship is a big part of what we do, but that’s not all worship is.

Worship is defined as the adoration or honor given to someone in recognition of their merit, or worth. We believe that Jesus is worthy of our adoration! So we sing songs about Him, and to Him; we lift our hands, we clap, and we’re demonstrative in our adoration of Him.

But it doesn’t stop there. We believe that worship isn’t just something that you do at the church, and then leave it behind. We strive to worship God in our lives, too. Our actions, our words, and the way we live is an act of worship (Romans 12:1). We give ourselves to God in every way, because He’s worthy!
